Late Start Waitlist - Class of 2023
JOIN THE LATE START WAITLIST HERE
We typically hit capacity right around the end of junior year for our initial cohort, and we finish the active stage of the process with most of those seniors in late August/early September. They are our first priority for obvious reasons.
As they finish up, however, we are able to take on new students from our late start waitlist!
WHO IS the waitlist FOR?
Families come to us for last-minute help for a variety of different reasons, the most common being that they didn’t understand how much work was involved and are in over their head after trying the DIY approach!
Other common reasons families call us late:
They over-estimated the amount of help that their independent school college counselors would provide (see more on that here)
They faced hiccups as a result of COVID
They realized it was cheaper than a divorce and less painful than decades of intensive family therapy :)
Bottom line, we’ve heard it all, so don’t feel embarrassed to reach out if you realized you need help at the last minute!
WHAT IS THE TIMELINE LIKE?
GETTING OFF THE WAITLIST
We prioritize those who know for sure that they want to move forward, and are typically able to get waitlisted families up and running with their first essay coaching meetings scheduled in July/August, and first college counseling meetings scheduled during the last week of August/first weeks of September. That said, we may be able to squeeze in students sooner if we have last-minute appointment cancellations from students in our initial cohort.
GETTING THE WORK DONE
We will do the bulk of our work with late start seniors during September and October so that they can submit many/most applications by November 1. Those with RD apps due January 1 can still work well into November and December.
HOW DOES ONE JOIN THE WAITLIST?
Please fill out the Late Start Waitlist form and one of us will respond to you within a few days to let you know where things stand and when we may be able to fit you in! This is the same process whether you need help with essays, applications, college selection, or pretty much anything!
WHAT DOES IT COST?
Since we do not charge any type of extra fee for families that come to us late, the fees on our Packages and Fees page apply. We perform the same services that we perform for every other family, just in a condensed period of time!
